Stop worrying about being enough and start focusing on the fact that I am Enough.
Christ is enough for me.
We sang that song in church today and it struck me how ironic or divinely planted the lyrics were at this exact time in my life.
Christ is enough for me. Christ is enough for me. Everything I need is in you. Everything I need.
I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back. No turning back. (Hillsong)

I had been struggling recently about being enough. It seemed everywhere I turned my insecurities and fears were magnified. There were things from my past (things I thought I had overcome) that had surfaced like the excavation of a sunken ship. I guess I had only buried it, instead of dealing with it.
And God said to me: Stop worrying about being enough and start focusing on the fact that I am ENOUGH.
How many times do I measure God’s worth by my own? It isn’t fair to cast that opinion on someone who is for me and loves me more than I could know, but so often I look at God through the point of view I am having that day. No wonder He keeps teaching me lessons on perspective.
And then along with my own struggles, there was a lot of trusting God in the dark moments as the week unfolded. There were increments where life itself hung in the balance and miles away, I could do nothing but trust. I simply had to choose to follow Jesus, no turning back.
We are quick to sing praises to God. We mindlessly sing words on a screen, but when the hard times and the pain and the natural disasters and the heartaches and all the bad comes, do we live truly believing Christ is enough?
I honestly didn’t have a blog written this week until that moment in church this morning when the words to that song sank in. I think God wants somebody to hear two things this week.
One: You are enough. Let go of everything that tears you down and makes you feel unworthy and know your one-of-a-kind heart is being chased by the Creator of the Universe. You don’t have to keep up with or impress others. You don’t have to be a certain way.
1 Samuel 16:7 “For man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7 “For man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Two: CHRIST IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. No matter where you stand, what you face, where you’ve been or who you are—He is enough. Trust Him to carry the burden. Trust Him to carry you. Believe no matter what else happens in life—He is all you need!
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
